TitanDef
About TitanDef

We're standing up for the
organizations nobody builds for.

Most GRC platforms were built for large enterprises with dedicated security teams. They were never designed for the organizations we know best. So we built one that was.

01 — The Story

Built from years across the table.

TitanDef started from years of cybersecurity consulting — sitting across the table from executive directors, business owners, and family office managers who all had the same question: "Are we actually protected?" And the honest answer, almost every time, was that nobody in the room really knew.

The information existed — buried in vendor reports, compliance checklists, and consultant slide decks. But it was never in the hands of the people actually making the calls. Not the CISO (there wasn't one). Not the security team (there wasn't one of those either). It was the founder, the executive director, the COO wearing six hats, the office manager who also handled IT.

"We kept walking into boardrooms where the best answer to 'Are we protected?' was a shrug and a spreadsheet."

So we sat down and built what we wished existed: a platform that turns our advisory playbook into automated, plain-language security intelligence — designed for organizations without a CISO, without a GRC team, and without the time to learn a tool built for someone else.

We're growing the way we want to grow — because the organizations using TitanDef tell other organizations about it.

We're happily small tech.

TitanDef is independent and practitioner-led. The roadmap is set by the people who sit across the table from our customers — not by an investor timeline or an exit calendar. That keeps decisions about pricing, scope, and what we build next anchored to what actually helps the organizations we serve.

Independent doesn't mean improvised. TitanDef runs on enterprise-grade infrastructure with the controls and reliability you'd expect from a platform trusted with security data — because the organizations using us deserve nothing less.

We grow when our work earns it. Customers tell other customers, foundations introduce us to grantees, advisors recommend us to the organizations they care about. That's the growth model, and it's the one we want.

03 — What we believe

Five principles, unmoved.

Accessibility

Security intelligence shouldn't require a dedicated GRC team or months of implementation. We built TitanDef so a 30-person nonprofit gets the same quality of risk insight as a Fortune 500 company — because the platform was designed for how they actually operate, not scaled down from something that wasn't.

Clarity

The gap between what your IT vendor tells you and what you actually need to know is where risk hides. Every output in TitanDef is designed to be understood by the person accountable for the decision — whether that's an executive director reporting to a grant funder or a business owner negotiating cyber insurance.

Empowerment

TitanDef gives the people doing the technical work better tools to communicate what matters, and gives leadership the context to back them with real resources. Same picture, same priorities, fewer translation layers.

Mission-Driven

Some of the most important work happens in organizations with the fewest resources. Nonprofits protecting vulnerable communities, family offices safeguarding generational wealth, small firms serving local markets — these organizations deserve security guidance built for them, not an enterprise tool with the advanced features stripped out.

Continuous Improvement

Security isn't a one-time audit — it's an ongoing practice. We evolve TitanDef based on what practitioners actually encounter in the field, because the gap between a compliance checkbox and real-world protection is where most platforms fall short.

04 — Our model

Software first. Advisory when it helps.

TitanDef exists because most organizations need clear answers more often than they need a consultant in the room. The platform delivers the assessment, the scoring, and the executive reporting on its own — no engagement required.

When a board question, a regulator, or a remediation plan calls for a seasoned voice, our Fractional CISO add-on is there. Same team behind the platform, scoped to the work in front of you, priced so you know what you're buying.

That's the model: software that stands on its own, advisory available when it earns its keep. No upsell pressure. No engagement minimums. No surprises on the invoice.
